Acrylic, spraypaint and pens on canvas for exhibit at forthcoming upfest in Bristol - [link]

Dinosaur head like shaped piece made out of Writer's art materials, spilling paint and Graffiti landmarks of Bristol. Includes Westmoreland House on Stokes Croft, a mini version of the building that has Banksy's Mild Mild West piece on the side and the Bell pub on Jamaica Street!

Pretty bad photo I'm afraid - a new camera is top of the Xmas wish list.

I love the colors, but I have to admit I'm having some trouble figuring out some of the landmarks on this one... is the eye the paint bucket? Other than that, love the design!

I have to agree with you on this one in terms of the landmarks and things not being so clear for features and stuff. It kind of came out like that, even after doing a detailed sketch. The paint bucket is indeed the eye and the spray paint cans underneath are meant to be the teeth.

I was more into doing crazy colours more than anything else on this one!

Less obvious than most of your other pieces... but still a crap-load of fun to look at!

Thanks! I think I am most pleased with the colours more than anything else.

Cheers. Yes, it is a bit more difficult to make out the features and stuff with this one. I find it a bit trickier to get it right using paints.

So are you officially sick of digital? Any particular reason as to why your going the more "fine-art" route?

I think digital is good for me when I have a commission on that needs doing in a short space of time - I know what I am doing and can get it done quickly. It's got to the point where I have a method of doing things with digital where I know exactly how to go about doing it and it can be a bit boring. I will still do digital pieces, but perhaps I will try incorporating new techniques into it. Maybe more work where I use photos and put creatures in them.

I don't really like alot of digital art much these days. Doing it can also be a bit restrictive in terms of size. I often end up scanning sections of drawings in and piecing them together. The size on screen and print can be a bit limiting.

I have done quite a few digital works that I am pleased with, but would like to try new things and learn new skills. I see alot of work by artists that I like that sometimes doesn't look like it is progressing much in any way and I find it a bit of a shame, like treading water. Don't want to sound like I'm dissing other peoples work mind!

In terms of displaying work at shows there is abigger demand for canvases and pieces that have a 'human touch' and are more unique. I hope to produce a limited run of screen prints soon. One offs are very popular with punters.

Mural work is fun as it's a totally different scale. Spraypaint is a tricky medium to get control on!

I guess any method of working gets boring if you do too much of it and then it's time to move on. I don't really enjoy doing the window drawings so much these days and I am thinking of altering how I do that.
