Artist's Comments
This was commissioned by my partners parents. They liked my Bristol Dinosaur and wanted one of where they live, Cwmbran, South Wales.
I found this quite tricky at first as it is a small place with not as many landmarks as a large city like Bristol. I really got into it in the end though and made lots of the surrounding hills and country. I put in things like the tank outside the army place, the art centre, council house, church, reservoir where people sail and the Jammy Dodger truck depot! The crows are flying away from The Crows Nest pub. The crows are also significant as Cwmbran means "Valley of the Crows". FULL VIEW PLEASE!! |

This is a pretty good one, it's neat about the Crows and how one of the elements not in the dinosaur are just as important as the dinosaur. The circles on the thights are great, just noticed how they're both pretty much in the same part of the leg. The use of Electric Wires and Towers on the back is great too. Gives it a smoother feeling that usual. Which is nice about this dinosaur, it has a great flow to it.
Though, is it peeing? XD The water leaking from the stream/river just made me wonder that.
It would be pretty cool if you did a dinosaur creation for each large city in the world, as I never realised (until you said so in your description) you actually take the landmarks from a city and work from them. Great that you do though.
